The Chief Medical Director, Federal University Teaching Hospital FUTH Owerri,Dr Kingsley Achigbu has received an award of excellence on Service to God and Humanity from All Souls’Chapel AIFCE Owerri.
Conferring the award on him in his office, the leader or St.John’s Family and Secretary CHAPLAINCY COUNCIL/PCC of the chapel,Sir Reginald Mbajunwa said the award was in recognition of Dr Achigbu’s services to God and Humanity especially in ensuring the establishment of an Anglican Chapel at FUTH Owerri that takes care of the spiritual needs of the patients and staff of the health institution.
Receiving the award,Dr Kingsley Achigbu who was overwhelmed thanked the chapel for the recognition.
He reminded the congregation of All Souls’Chapel especially the students and staff that as christians they are expected to be the salt of the earth and light of the world.
The Chief Medical Director said with the elevation of AIFCE to a University status, they should work harder.
He encouraged the students to take their studies more seriously and congratulated on the new status of the citadel of learning.
