Ahead of Imo State gorvernorship election for November 11, a concern citizen and philanthropist from Mbaishi Eziama in Ngor Okpala LGA, Imo State, Chief Kingsley Dikkibo(Eze Africa), has called on the people of his community to vote wisely on the forthcoming governorship poll for rapid development.
He gave the advice at Umuchukwu Central School Eziama where he addressed the community and political parties ahead of the election.
Dikkibo pointed out that,it is wise to know who to vote for in order to elect the right person that will remember the area in terms of development and security.
He posited that wise and collective voting strength will help to attract attention of government to the area.
The philanthropist advised the electorate in the area not to vote across party lines but vote according to their conscience bearing in mind that their votes will go a long way in developing the area in terms of social amenities.
The Mbaishi son,maintained that having collective votes will help them have bargaining power to negotiate with government in power and make them more politically relevant.
“My utmost interest is to see rapid development of Mbaishi.
Mbaishi has a vast land that is fertile but lacking in Agricultural development,industries which results in the idleness of the youths of Mbaishi.
“I love mbaishi because my foundation and upbringing started here.It’s my joy to see my people gainfully employed in their vision” he said.
Dikkibo further stated that for the people to develop, the environment has to be developed.
“That is why I embarked on infrastructural program to create that enabling environment with my little resources, I, therefore call on the government to invest in Mbaishi, with the government response Mbaishi will be the Japan of Ngor Okpala, “he assured.
In his speech,the Sole Administrator of Ngor Okpala,Hon.Theo Iheduba,thanked the conveyor of the meeting for the initiative.
Among the leaders who spoke at the occasion is the APC Apex leader of Ngor Okpala, Okenze, S.I Obinna who thanked Chief Dikkibo, describing him as focused, patriotic,an individual who always thinks about his people,
He reminded the gathering of the achievements of Governor Hope Uzodinma, urging them to go out on Saturday and vote right.
