Business man and top leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Chief Kingsley Iwuoha has disclosed that the forthcoming governorship election in the state would most certainly swing in favour of the incumbent governor, Governor Hope Uzodinma, going by opinions available to him from interactions with people in the state from diverse walks of life.
Chief Iwuoha made this observation on Tuesday in Owerri during a chat with newsmen in his office.
According to the oil and gas business guru, the nature of his business avails him the opportunity to always interact with drivers, passengers, mechanics, spare parts dealers and others, hence the conviction that Uzodinma would be reelected.
Chief Iwuoha also maintained that it was necessary to reelect the governor in order for the spirit of equity, fairness and sense of belonging among the three zones to operate, adding that anything else would truncate the order.
He stated that Governor Hope Uzodinma had done well in many areas, especially infrastructure which has greatly enhanced business activities and improved the standard of living of the people.
The APC chieftain praised the E- Commissioner, Hon. Chimezie Amadi for his efforts in creating jobs through training of youth in IT, internet and communication technology, noting that Governor Hope Uzodinma’s promise to the youth of sending them abroad to acquire modern skills and learning which could be deployed in the state for further development was praiseworthy.
He appreciated the Governor for not leveraging on his position the incumbent, but fervently campaigning everywhere for votes.
The business man described the governor as kind – hearted which also is characteristic of his administration, calling on Imolites to come out en masse and reelect him.
On the day of election, Chief Iwuoha urged Imolites to conduct themselves peaceably, not forgetting that they are brothers and sisters and neighbours as the things holding them together transcend political parties.
Generally, Chief Iwuoha expressed his satisfaction so far with the campaign of the candidates as they seek votes.
