As the Governorship election draws near, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has said that in him,a credible alternative to bad governance has come.
Speaking in a Press conference held in Owerri, Anyanwu noted that he will provide a credible alternative to the agitation of decay leadership which the present administration has brought to bear on the citizens. He noted that the present government led by Senator Hope Odidika Uzodinma has deceived Imo citizens with fake promises of employment especially with the promise that 4,000 youths will be given employment in Europe, stressing that it’s a scam.
The incoming Governor said that moving the youths to Europe will cost N8million each, adding that 8million multiplied by 4,000, will give you N34billion. He posited that the said amount can generate massive job for the youths in the state.
The two term Local Government chairman of Ikeduru assured that he will protect the votes of the citizens, while calling on them to come out and cast their votes. He assured that in his first 100 days, he would try hard to create 10,000 jobs.
The two term House of Assembly lawmaker in Imo, also stated that in tackling insecurity, he will apply dialogue, employment of youths and provision of amnesty, adding that those approaches will address the challenge of insecurity.
Senator Anyanwu popularly known as Samdaddy said if he comes on board as next governor, he will declare state of emergency on public schools in the state, regretting that the level of decay in education system highly worrisome.
