…Says: Summit Purely APC Affair!
The attention of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, the apex socio-Cultural and only registered Youth Organisation that unites and protects the interest of the youths in the 12 LGAs of Orlu Zone, has been drawn to the charade of endorsement by a group of APC supporters who hide under Orlu Youth Summit to endorse governor Hope Uzodinma in their desperate bid to attract some financial benefits.
Orluzurumee Youth Assembly is more concerned about how to restore normalcy in our once peaceful zone, but it is rather shocking that few APC supporters could assemble themselves for a meeting, thereafter claim to be speaking for Orlu youths when in actual sense, they have only spoken for their pockets.
It is a known fact that the gathering was purely an APC affair which wouldn’t have passed for endorsement of a particular governorship candidate for Novemeber 11 governorship election .As we discovered ,those moblized for the said endorsement were mainly outsiders, including students to impersonate the real Orlu Youths with promises of demobilizing them with peanuts at the end of the day. What an act!.
As a group, we consider it rather,insensitive to talk about the endorsement of Sen. Hope Uzodinma by Orlu Youths without liasing with the authentic Youth Organisations at a time like this when Orlu Zone is on fire and seriously bleeding to resolve problems facing the zone. This is the height of selfishness!!.
We have severally written to those in authority regarding the best way to tackle the insecurity in the zone and restore Peace but no visible response.
Just to see a Group being funded to come under the Umbrella of Orlu Youths to endorse Uzodinma.
We wish to inform the general public,that Orluzurumee Youth Assembly is planning a NON Partisan UNITY AND SECURITY SUMMIT slated for next month.In the summit, we shall discuss a lot as it concerns restoring the lost glory of Orlu zone, security measures, ideas to revive economic activities in the zone and advocacy for free and fair election in the forthcoming November 11th Guber Election.
We wish to also State categorically and unequivocally that this is no more time for business as usual. Orluzurumee Youth Assembly envisions a Government that will raise the standard of living of Orlu People, empower our teaming Youths, revamp businesses and secure the lives and properties of ORLU people and that can only be our decision.
Not strangers coming to endorse a candidate on our behalf.
As we urge our people to disregard the said endorsement by Orlu youths, we assure our people of our undying commitment towards the advancement of Orlu Zone..
Orlu Must Prevail!!.
