The Shared Prosperity Youth Movement,SPYM, Mbaitoli chapter,lmo state was recently hosted by the Commissioner for Mines/ Solid Minerals, Hon. Martins Ekeh in his residence at Umuogbaka, Amuburu, Ishi-Ubomiri in Mbaitoli LGA.
Receiving the group, the commissioner expressed great delight for the opportunity of hosting them .
He commended the youths for aligning themselves with the state governor, Sen.Hope Uzodinma,adding that the various youth empowerment and skills acquisition programs by the governor are veritable facts that he has the interest of the youths at heart
He promised to work with them towards achieving the electoral victory of Senator Uzodinma, come November 11.
The commissioner said having considered the strength of the group he will initiate a meeting between the group and the state deputy governorship Candidate, Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru to enable her also familiarize with the organization and also pledged to provide a flex banner onbehalf of the group.
Earlier, the Secretary of the movement ,Mr. Ifeanyi Ejike who stood-in for the Co-ordinator,Hon. Chibuzo Uwandu in his speech, officially introduced the group to the commissioner and affirmed their loyalty and readiness to work for the governor’s re-election, come November.
He solicited the commissioner’s partnership to enable the group realize it’s ambition of ensuring that the governor is returned.
He stressed that the various youth empowerment and skills acquisition programmes by his government are facts he has the interest of the youths at heart.
Speaking also, the State representative, Chief Nick Iwuozor said their major objective is to ensure that ethe governor is re-elected.
In his contribution, Hon. Bartram Nnawuihe, a former councilor and one of the power brokers in Ubomiri politics, who recently returned to APC from the Labour Party,assured that himself and all his followers will work with the commissioner and the youths of the area in actualizing Governor Uzodinma’s political aspirations.
Present at the meeting were the SPYM LGA Executives, Hon. Martin Ugorji, ward co-ordinator and some Ubommiri Executives.
