A man is not measured by the size of physical body but by the size of his heart.
When Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy) was overwhelmingly elected the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the November 11, 2023 Imo gubernatorial election, not many believed his emergence would translate into a rapid rebirth and overhauling of the fortunes of Imo PDP which at the time, was faced with internal wrangling.
To naysayers and sworn critics of PDP including those already stricken by ‘Samdaddy-phobia,’ a concocted, lameduck propaganda that ‘Samdaddy was not contesting anything,’ was deployed to sway beleaguered and impoverished Imolites, albeit falsely, into believing that the scheduled November 11, 2023 Imo governorship election was perhaps already ‘won and lost.’
Naturally, lies, deceit propaganda -whatever you choose to call it – do not last long. They are like a seed dropped on a rock. They hardly take root. Even if they struggle to germinate, they still whither in a matter of days.
In a very short period of time, and by dint of hardwork, humility, courage and and consistency of character, the Ikeduru-born gargantuan political wizard and serving National Secretary of the PDP has phenomenally turned the tide against his opponents.
As it stands presently, PDP in Imo State is steadily transforming in to the prefered political destination of all the major political structures, blocs and gladiators in the state.
At the last count, virtually all the major political structures like the Rescue Mission, Destiny Group, Grassroots Democratic Front, CICO, among many others, have all collapsed into the Samdaddy’s 2023 Governorship Project.
This was evident at the inauguration of Senator Samuel Anyanwu governorship Campaign Council on Tuesday like week.
It is apt to state that at the moment, Samdaddy is one governorship candidate in Imo that boasts of the most significant and consequential endorsements so far.
He is also the only governorship candidate that has visited all the LGAs in the state.
His “Thank You Tour” has taken him to the 27 local government areas of Imo State. Meanwhile someone is busy hovering around in Abuja.
But intimidation and ballot box snatching won’t be of any help this time because Imo people are prepared to change the urgly narratives of insecurity and avoidable hardship.
This is moreso, as Samdaddy sounded it loud and clear during the inauguration of his campaign council last week, that the scenario which played out during the last House of Assembly election in Imo, will not be allowed to be repeated in the November 11, 2023 Imo governorship election.
It seems those who attempt to write off Samdaddy in the coming Imo governorship election fail to look at his history; From the Transition Committee ( TC Chairman) to the elected Executive Chairman of Ikeduru LGA; to the Imo House of Assembly for two consecutive tenures. From there he went straight to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a senator representing Imo East (Owerri Zone), and currently he is the National Secretary of PDP.
This is no mean feat.
Men of destiny, those who have their dates booked with destiny are simply unstoppable. Armoured tanks can’t stop them; neither can Amotekun, Bakassi or Ebubeodum.
Think of the Josephs of the Bible, the Davids, the Moses’, name them, Not even the mighty Herod with all his chariots could stop the new born baby, Jesus’. That is destiny for you.
Now those who initially went to town selling this wicked dummy that Samdaddy was not in the race, are now the same people running helter-skelter in a desperate but bound-to-fail mission to diminish Samdaddy’s soaring profile and wide acceptability in Imo State.
Fact is, folks here ( I mean Imolites) are smart people.You can deceive them for a while but not for long.
Obviously, APC’s cookie is fast crumbling. Their initial diatribe against the Samdaddy Project and Imo PDP has faded out.
Samdaddy is coming. It is obvious. The man of destiny is on the threshold of another history. Something is about to happen.
Indeed history beckons. All eyes on Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy) come November 11, 2023.
