Imo state African Development Party,ADP Boss,Dr Uzor Nmezi has described the state as moving in a reverse gear and losing out the gains of yester years especially in the areas of peace, security and human capital development.Nmezi is of the view that despite the hues,cries,praise singing and adulation of the incumbent Governor, Hope Uzodinma,there is practically nothing to write home about the so called Shared Prosperity government.
The Imo ADP Boss also lamented that the state is sinking and sliding into abyss and enjoined Imolites to look beyond politics of bread and butter,in deciding or choosing who best receives their endorsement and mandate at the fast approaching November 11, Governorship election.Accordiing to the Mbaitolu LGA born technocrat turned politician,Imo State will never come out of the doldrums unless we discard the attitude of winner takes all and stomach infrastructure politics presently prevalent and pervading the enclave.Speaking further,the visibly emotional and concerned Political leader decried a situation where life has lost its value,pangs of hunger and poverty are the orders of the day and insecurity starring everyone in the face,yet we have what purports as a government in place.Dr NMEZI spoke while unveiling DR Katchi NWOGA to the State Working Committee,SWC and Stakeholders of Imo ADP,last Saturday,August l2,,2023 as the party’s Governorship Candidate.

Dr Katchi NWOGA spoke eloguently on how the National Health Insurance Scheme can work and assured that only experienced medical health professionals like himself and few others have the midas touch.He promised to bring to bear in the state, his vast knowledge and experience in governance by cutting down on the huge cost of governance and invest such funds in the critical sectors to enhance living and improve very drastically,the welfare and we’ll being of the people of Imo State
Uzor Nmezi presented Dr.Katchi NWOGA of the Royal Ancient Kingdom and blue blood from Ekwerewzu in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA,as the only and most credible alternative who is poised to change the narrative and bring Imo State to it’s lost glory as the fastest growing and cleanest state in Nigeria.Nmezi called on the people of Imo State to ignore the threats, intimidation, and harassment going on in the state and come out enmass to vote for the only one who has the solutions to the problems of underdevelopment, insecurity and poverty or lack plaguing the State.He condemned the incessant resort to barbarism, brigandage and vandalization by agents of Governor Hope Uzodimma who recently and wilfully dismantled and destroyed billboards of opposition parties in the state, including those of ADP after increasing outrageously and astronomically,the signage fees in a bid or order to shut out and scare away the opposition from actively participating in the Governorship election of November 11.Uzor NMEZI was of the view and opinions that only a blood thirsty tyrant could descend to the obscene and cruelty levels unprovoked to frustrate opposition in a state that is populated by erudite scholars and highly enlightened, knowledgeable and experienced citizens.He declared that with Dr Katchi NWOGA as Governor,never again will Imolites be subjected to enslavement,anger, frustration and sorrowful tendencies.He enjoined IMOLITES to rise to the occasion and call the bluff of hope uzodimma who he said lacks the conscience of decency and decorum or political tolerance.
Accepting his nomination,the well known urbane and cerebral technocrat, Dr Katchy NWOGA who stated that he was instrumental to the huge internal revenue generation in Abia and Anambra States,thanked members of the party for finding him worthy to fly their flag.He regretted that as far back as l990s when Lagos state was generating six hundred million Naira as monthly IGR,Imo State ranked among the highest with over four hundred million Naira but announced that presently while Lagos state is in the big league with over sixty billion Naira monthly IGR, Imo state is still struggling to generate one billion Naira.This according to Dr Katchi NWOGA is essentially due to perfected and deliberately conjured leakages,, fraud, misappropriation and diversion of funds which he stated and observed to be the bane of our Economic and business development.He therefore promised to change the ugly situation as soon as he assumes office as Governor of Imo State.Continuing Dr Katchy NWOGA cited instances with with Anambra State where he said his inputs and proposals contributed immensely to the high security, peace and tranquility enjoyed by the people while businesses flourished during the Willie Obiano administration just before the new Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo altered the eguation that has culminated in the present high upsurges in incidences and cases of insecurity,blood letting and human carnage.Nwoga further assured to deploy high technology and human capital development to end insecurity and engender prosperity, peace and Progress in the State as soon as he receives the mandate of the electorate on November 11
