The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for the November 11 governorship election in Imo State, Hon Tony Ejiogu says the state needs a seasoned technocrat rather than professional politicians to confront her myriad of challenges.
Hon Ejiogu who made it clear that the state was standing at socio-economic crossroads at the moment, warned that things could go even more awry if those he described as professional politicians continue to dominate the political space in the state,
He added that it would continue to be business as usual should Imo citizens fail to use their votes wisely by electing a grounded technocrat as governor on November 11.
The Imo APGA gubernatorial hopeful assured that as seasoned technocrat with home and overseas training and experience, he was prepared to deploy 21st Century ideas to save Imo State from further drift.
He maintained that he would use modern and pragmatic approaches to silence the raging insecurity that has already pushed Imo to the precipice.
He also noted that massive job creation and aggressive capacity building as well as continuous skilling up of Imo youths remained crucial to ending insecurity and youth restiveness in the Imo and the entire southeast geo-political zone.
For Ejiogu, Imo State stands at a crucial crossroad, and he (Ejiogu) emerges as a beacon of hope, a leader who understands the pressing need for change.; a technocrat with unwavering commitment to serving the people.
In the views of many Imolites, Ejiogu presents a refreshing alternative to traditional career politicians. one who believes that defeating the giant challenges before Imo State and extinguishing the “fire engulfing the state” can only be accomplished through collective efforts.
There are equally other Imolites who hold the belief that the Imo State APGA candidate for the November 11 gubernatorial elections possesses a new vision, coupled with his determination to fix the the cacophony of problems bedeviling the state, as well as usher in a new order where all sectors of the state’s economy thrive, while the people of Imo State regain confidence in the government.
