Rubby Emele Bags Most Performing Commissioner Award

Imo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Mrs Rubby Emele has been honoured with a meritorious award as the Most Performing Commissioner in the State by Imo State Council of Autonomous Communities Youth Presidents, an umbrella body that unites all the the President Generals of the 655 Autonomous Communities in the state,

Presenting the award to performing commissioner in her office, the State Coordinator, Imo State Council of Autonomous Communities Youth Presidents, Comr. John Kennedy Ezerihe, said; the award is in recognition of the Hon  Commissioner’s resilience to work, cordial working relationships with the Executive Governor of the State, the Parastatals under her ministry as well as her receptive, encouragement and humane attitude to all and sundry and thanked his Excellency for making a wise decision in chosing an intelligent and humility personified leader in the person of Chief Emele to Mann the Affairs of an important and strategic ministry.

Comr. Ezerihe assured the Hon Commissioner of their readiness as grassroots leaders to work in synergy with her ministry as their parent ministry, the Governor of the State and all his appointees to ensure that the Governor is returned for the second term in office and implored her to help them bring to the knowledge of the Governor their activities in their communities and also the need to incorporate them as grassroot leaders on the activities of their LGAs and that of their Development Centres

Comr. Ezerihe also talked on the need for government to engage more of the Youths on meaningful ventures that will make them to be independent and deter them from engaging in crimes and other vices.

Receiving the award, the Hon Commissioner said; she is highly honoured by the award and dedicated it to God who has been her strength and to the Governor, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodimma, for finding her worthy to serve and contribute her  quota to the development of the State.

Chief Mrs Emele thanked them for their continuous support to the Governor which she said is not in vein, looking at what he has been able to achieve in the state within four years in office she noted that if given another four years, the Governor will achieve more and that will also enable him to complete outstanding projects he has started.

The Hon Commissioner noted that the Governor’s love for the youths is unprecedented and that is the reason he set up Skillup Imo Project to help them acquire Digital Skills and be independent.

She further noted that the planned dredging of Oguta River when fully actualized will give the youths opportunities to be gainfully employed and applauded the group for doing great works in their various Communities and for ensuring peace, security of lives and properties of their people.

The award winning commissioner encouraged them to work closely with their Traditional Rulers, especially those that are fragile and to help them function well.

The highlights of the visit was adoption of the Hon. Commissioner as the Matron of the organization and bestowing on her the prestigious Award of the “Most Performing Commissioner”, in the state.
