The immediate past Imo House of Assembly member for Ikeduru Local Government and candidate of Labour Party in the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru House of Representatives elections, Mr. Uche Ogbuagu, has reportedly received a massive financial boost of fifty million Naira in his quest to unseat the winner of the election and All Progressive Congress, APC candidate, Hon. Engr Akarachi Amadi.

Report has it that the comedian turned politician has allegedly secured a whopping fifty million Naira from a Senator from an opposition party in the South East who instructed him to ensure he gives the money of-front to the witnesses to encourage them put in their best and perhaps also to avoid misappropriation thereafter.

The money, sources informed is to settle the witnesses he produced for the tribunal currently sitting in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State.

Uche Ogbuagu approached the tribunal to upturn the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, which declared Hon. Engr Akarachi Amadi winner.

Ogbuagu has been reported to have approached several wealthy persons within and outside the state, to help sponsor his case against Amadi.

Sometimes one wonders if Mbaike under Ogbuagu will ever see any development with this level of mortgage. Of cause, there must be a payback time to every money borrowed.

With the fifty million Naira boost from his benefactor, Ogbuagu’s forty five witnesses will be expected to go home after their expedition, with upwards of one million Naira, each.
