“Obi’s our outstanding son, we’d faith in his ability”
The President General,PG of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has made it clear that the Igbo nation of Nigeria has nothing against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Ndigbo Apex Group,he explained decided to back Mr. Peter Obi during the Presidential election because they believed it was the Igbos’ turn.The PG made this claim in a recent interview with Journalists. He emphasized that their commitment to upholding the Zoning arrangement was the foundation of their support for their outstanding son-Obi. He also opined that because the President has already taken the oath of office as the 16th President of the Federation, they have the only choice of being fully behind him.
According to him, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo supported Peter Obi in the election because we felt it was our turn based on the Zoning arrangement during the election. Although we have nothing against Tinubu personally, we backed Peter Obi because we felt that it was time for us to lead. And we had faith in his ability. Tinubu was sworn in as President , recently,and since the All Progressives Congress,APC is made up largely of Igbo people, making it impossible to stop them.
