Leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP in Ahiazu Mbaise local government area in the state have unanimously endorsed the party’s Governorship candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu ( Samdaddy) for the November 11 election.
In a critical stakeholders meeting held on Thursday, the Ahiazu Mbaise PDP leaders resolved to join hands to work for the success of the party’s flag bearer, and urged members in other LGAs to follow suit.
The party leaders therefore warned anyone working against the victory of PDP while still a member to desist, expressing annoyance that the situation in the state occasioned by bad leadership requires a collective effort of stakeholders to rejig the administration.
According to them, if Imo people could suffer untold hardship, organized killings, and kidnappings allegedly caused by agents of the APC led administration in the state within the first four years, it would be UnGodly,inhuman,disastrous for the masses to keep calm and allow same government of Hope Uzodinma to retain power for another four years.
The Party leaders recalled how peaceful, and secured the state was when PDP was in power, expressing worry that presently, the people of Oru East, West, Orsu, in Orlu zone and some parts of Okigwe zone have deserted their homes for fear of being assassinated by the militia group otherwise known as Unknown Gunmen.
They commended the leadership of PDP in the state for organizing the most freest and credible primary election, and therefore expressed confidence that the caliber of Governorship candidate the party parades in the state would easily secure victory in the next Governorship poll.
