Leading Labour Party,LP gubernatorial aspirant in Imo state, Major General Lincoln Keonyemere Jack Ogunewe (rtd) has congratulated the winner of Abia state governorship elections, Dr Alex Otti. In a statement he issued shortly after Otti was declared the winner Wednesday, Ogunewe said that, ”His victory is well deserved. We need such first class brains and professionals with good character like Otti to turn things around in Igboland in particular and Nigeria in general.”
It may be recalled that last Monday, Ogunewe issued a strongly worded statement asking the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC to announce the Abia state final results and declare Otti winner when the results of Obingwa local government area was being held up.
Ogunewe concluded by saying that, ”By the grace of God, Imo state would be liberated like Abia state in the November 2023 elections when LP would be in charge of our state. ”
