…Says: Imo police investigated, arrested suspects
Mr Chikezie Erege who hails from Ihitte Akpim in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of Imo State, has made a passionate appeal to the CP to ensure that justice was done following what he said was alleged attempt to kidnap him including threat to life and prosperity, harassment among others by one Chukwuma Okonkwo and others.
Erege hinted Nigeria Newspoint recently that his petition to the Imo State Commissioner of Police,CP was investigated and that the suspects were arrested and granted bail. While some of his property , Telephone including cash, were said to have been recovered by the Imo police command from the suspects.
He said in another petition to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Zone 9, Umuahia, dated November 29, 2022, made through his (Erege’s) legal counsel, Chinaemerem Chambers, U. D Ibeneto and Co, alleged and read in part:
“Sir, it is our client’s brief that your men at Imo State command have fully investigated the matter and the above mentioned persons are using their petition at Zone 9 to suppress, further intimidate our client and also deny him justice in this case
“Consequently, we are by this letter pleading with you Sir, to transfer this matter back to the office of the commissioner so that justice in this matter will be achieved.”
Erege is very unsettled that the matter is unduly being delayed while the suspects who are from his area are plotting to harm him,the more.
