A Chieftain of the opposition party,the Peoples Democratic Party PDP,Chief Kingsley Iheanacho,has accused the Imo State Governor,Senator Hope Uzodinma of abysmal failure as a governor and does not have the moral standi to remain in Douglas House.
The Abuja based PDP Chieftain stated this while briefing journalists in Abuja recently.
He alleged that the Governor has failed based on his poor handling of security issues in the state,stressing that one who is supposed to be protecting the people as the Chief Security Officer of the state,is revearsly using his private security militia- Ebubeagu to reportedly kill his subjects.
He frowned at the burning down of over 500 shops at the popular Eke ututu market in Awo-Idemili in Orsu LGA of the State by the agents of the state,because they alleged that four of shops were used in storing explosive devices by the bandits and wondered the rationale behind setting the entire market ablaze.
He noted that the action of the state agents has brought untold hardship and misery to the traders who are now hopeless under a governor whose name is “Hope”.
“Actions such as these are increasing the rate of unemployment,frustration and depression in the state”,Iheanacho said .
He insisted that , “it is very obvious that the Imo state Governor has failed in his primary duty and responsibility as the chief security officer of the state”
He also urged the Governor to be more responsive and responsible to carefully address the ugly security challenges because posterity will judge him according to his deeds.
He further stressed that with the poor performances of Sen.Hope Odidika Uzodinma as the Imo Governor, it will be difficult for him to get a second term in 2024 and that this must be why the Omuma- born politician had started his electoral magic geared towards influencing the outcome of the forthcoming polls
He recalled the recent allegation by the Coalition Of United Politicial Parties, CUPP spokesman, Barr Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu.
Engr Ihenacho advised Imo people to try as much as possible to collect their Permanent Voter Cards,PVCs to bring better people into government during the election in order to escape from bad leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Imo state in particular and Nigeria in general .
