Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has felicitated with the people of Mbaise Nation on the occasion of this year’s Iriji-Mbaise festival.
Governor Uzodimma did in a goodwill/solidarity message he sent through his social media handle on Monday.
The Governor is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at an elaborate ceremony taking place on Tuesday, August 16, at Itu Ezinihitte Mbaise, the host local government area for this Year’s Iriji-Mbaise festival.
In felicitating with the people, Governor Uzodimma said the development of Mbaise is of paramount importance to the industrialisation drive of his administration, noting that the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road which he flagged off recently is part of his determination to achieve that purpose.
The Governor in his goodwill/solidarity message to the people of Mbaise Nation, both those at home and in the Diaspora, also promised to complete the already flagged off road in record time even as he assured that other ongoing projects in Mbaise will receive similar accelerated attention.
Governor Uzodimma’s message read in full: “On this auspicious occasion of Iri ji Mbaise, I felicitate with the good people of Mbaise Nation (Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihite) at home and in diaspora as I bring goodwill message in solidarity.
“The development of Mbaise, as well as other component parts of our dear Imo State, is of paramount importance to our industrialization drive and with the recently flagged-off construction of Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road, we are on course towards the actualization of this.
“While I pray that this year’s Iri ji Mbaise Festival shall guarantee bountiful harvest, I reassure you of the completion of this all-important road project, other projects in Mbaise Nation and across the State within record time.
“Congratulations to the good people of Mbaise.”
