Chief Stephen Cy. Uwaezuoke, the National Rescue Movement (NRM) candidate, Imo West Senatorial District, has been endorsed by Peace and Truth IMO (MANPIE). MANPIE is a national, grass-root oriented organization known for supporting candidates that are known to have good character, believe in good governance, have the capacity, ability to lead, with progressive agenda to address the society’s economic and social proplem. MANPIE is one of the frontline organizations that seriously advocates for the presidency of SouthEast extraction. It is a national organization, and it has its presence in all the states in the nation.
Speaking at the meeting of the Orlu zonal executive members, all the local government coordinators, the State Executive Council Members of Manpie( Peace and Trust Imo), and the campaign team of Chief Stephen CY Uwaezuoke, the State Chairman of MAMPIE, Hon. Unuero Sylvester, noted that; “after due diligence, Chief Uwaezuoke emerged as the best candidate for the Orlu Senatorial zone.
“Our criteria for identifying, recommending, and choosing a candidate to support include the following: organizational skill sets, leadership abilities, community organizing skill, conflict resolution skill, character, and vision for the constituency the candidate is vying to represent.
We also paid particular attention to their proposals to address the lack of security, poverty, and the social ills that are challenging the Orlu Zone”, he explained.
He noted that what interests the group most are Uwaezuoke’s proposals for improved educational system, which calls for feeding our children at school,including day care services in public schools.
“Amazingly, he clearly stated that he will appoint a committee to administer the use of the constituency allocations from the Federal Government. I have not heard this proposal before from any candidate in Nigeria”, he added.
We have found a partner in our struggle to stamp out corruption, stop recycling the old politicians, and their parties that have put us in the deplorable situation whch we have found ourselves, today.

Responding,the Eziachi-born philanthropist, United States trained Economist, and Computer Scientist, Chief Uwaezuoke, thanked the MANPIE members, particularly the Orlu zonal members.
He promised to work very closely with the group, and reiterated his commitment to save the Imo West Senatorial District.
“Orlu is burning!, We will seek for peace, wealth creation and poverty alleviation programs, provide the leadership that would ensure that the government takes appropriate measures to stop the incessant killings of our youths”,he stated.
He also urged MANPIE to aggressively encourage the electorate to come out and vote enmass. This time around, votes will count, he added”.
Adding his voice, his campaign, Director General, Professor Kingsley Ikebudu, thanked all the MANPIE members and promised that Chief Uwaezuoke’s Senatorial bid will be victorious and the best representation ever to be witnessed in orlu zone.
He went on to appreciate their passionate support and endorsement, noting that the group will be integrated into the scheme of the campaign activities as the electioneering campaign commences in September.
