Attack On Agwa Police Post: Imo CAN Deputy Chair Condemns Act

Following the attack on Agwa Police Division, Oguta  LGA, Imo State, by yet to be identified gunmen, the Deputy Chairman of the Christain Association of Nigeria, CAN, Imo State Chapter, Hon. Bethel Onumajuru who is also the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for Oguta State Constituency for the 2023 general elections,

Apostle  Bethel Onumajuru has condemned the act describing it as babaric and an ungodly incident.

Speaking to newsmen  over the weekend, Apostle Onumajuru

described the attack and killings as unholy  and capable of destroying the fragile peace been enjoyed  in Agwa  and Oguta local Government at large.

He used the occasion to call on ordained ministers of God, key leaders, both political and traditional rulers and lovers of peace  to rise to the occasion saying that  evil will not triumph against light.

The Oguta state assembly candidate, lamented that Agwa and oguta LGA cannot continue to be subjected to  unwanton killings and destruction of lives and property which he said, have inflicted  fears and terror in the area.

He further expressed concern over the rate of criminality which  he hinted, was on the increase in the area.

He noted that the sad development  has led  many of its citizens to desert the area.

He however, prayed for God’s intervention to help the present government in Imo in its efforts in fighting  insecurity and killings in the state.

Apostle Onumajuru urged all citizens to remember that God Almighty would never let the wicked to go unpunished.

According to him, “We must live to ascribe glory and strength to God no matter how right one may think he or she is.”
