The monster kingpin of “Degbam cult” group, Osita Ogiri who is said to have cut short many innocent lives with his nefarious gang in Mmahu Autonomous community and sister communities in Ohaji / Egbema LGA of Imo State, has been confirmed dead by the Nigeria Police Force.
According to a reliable source, Ogbiri was arrested in Akwa Ibom State, where he owned a very large business store, following a tip off to the Abia State police command, on his way to execute a devilish intention but ran out of luck.
It was also stated that he raised a family, wife and children within this few months of escaping from Imo statte correctional center.
The source explained that the police brought the monster, Ogbiri to Mmahu community on investigation, but unfortunately he died in the process of investigation.
Recall that the said Ogbiri was the mastermind in the last Mmahu killings, where over seven persons: Ezinna Charles Mgbaraho, a community President General; Chasity Nwachukwu, secretary, Chinedu Anene, public relations officer and four of their supporters, were sent to their early graves because of town union politics, which also caused communal uproar.
The source maintained that the deceased cultist admitted that his notorious group was responsible for the death of the Government appointees on February 7.
Meanwhile, the joy in the areas know no bounds as the people described his death as “a good end to a bad rubbish”.
It further stated that since the capture of Ogbiri, the community has been in jubilant mood even as the police was yet to make official statement regarding the story of the said gangster’s death.
