…Visits Imo PDP

As journey to 2023 Presidencial election is drawing nearer, a Frontline Presidencial Aspirant, two term Governor of Kwara State and the immediate past Nigeria Senate President of the 8th National Assembly, Dr.Bukola Saraki has visited Imo PDP, Weekend.
Address the Imo delegates,he said that Nigeria needs a President that has all round experience of governance to navigate the Country out of the numerous challenges facing it.
Accompanied by his Campaign team to the Party Secretariat at Owerri, the Presidential aspirant hinted that as a politician who have headed the Executive arm of Government for Eight years as a Governor and the Legislative arm of Government as a Senate President, that he is better positioned to lead the Country because he has garnered both Executive and Legislative experience to manage the affairs of the Country.
He said that he is in the State to seek the support of the party because he believes that he is the right person for the job.
The former Senate President disclosed that the Country is in deep mess and needs a President with courageous character to execute those policies that will lift the nation, maintaining that restructuring will not take place by mere pronouncement.
The Presidential hopeful assured Nigerians that he is going to revive both the Private and Public sector of the nation’s economy and will democratize opportunities to achieve economic growth if elected as the president of the Country.
Dr Saraki maintained that he believes in one Nigeria and that no region is more important than the other “I believe in equity and Justice that is why I supported the South East to become Deputy Senate President and I went to court for four years as Senate President because of that.We need a team player to restore Nigeria and my experience puts me ahead of others. I am a Nigerian for all Nigerians”
The two term Governor of Kwara State stated further that if he becomes the next president, he will train One Million Nigerians each year in various sectors to keep the economy of the nation alive.
Reacting, the State Chairman of the Party, Engr Charles Ugwu, stated that the name ‘Saraki’ is a house hold name in Nigeria as far as politics is concern.
He noted that the presidential Aspirant is a grassroots politician who started from being a Governor of his State and rose to the height of becoming the Senate President.
The PDP state Chairman further disclosed that the father of the presidential hopeful is a friend of Ndigbo more especially Imo State in particular and maintained that he Saraki copied his father’s step by using his positions to place Igbo Sons and Daughters in vital positions.”We like you and encourage your abilities as you aspire to become the president of this Country.Nigeria is bleeding and needs somebody that will heal it.Nigeria needs you” he concluded.
The presidential Aspirant was welcome by the Party State Executive and delegates.
