One of the leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Owerri West Local Government Area, of Imo State, Comrade Bright Agu, has urged the people of Owerri Zone to support Gov Hope Uzodinma’s reelection bid, next year.
Comrade Agu who made the call in Owerri yesterday in a chat with our correspondent, said the governor remains the best choice for the zone, and state because of his outstanding achievements in office.
He pointed out that not only has the governor delivered good governance and quality projects, but also that so many of them, particularly roads are found in Owerri Zone.
According to him, having been fair enough to the zone in projects execution and distribution of offices since assumption of power, the people of the zone needed to reciprocate his gestures by strongly supporting his second term bid.
The Ihiagwa born APC stalwart argued that since the governor has done for Owerri Zone the same things a governor from the area would have done for them, they should rally round him to, continue doing the good work he is doing for them.
He urged the governor to remain focused, determined and committed to his governance mantra of reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery, 3R, which he noted have positively changed the states landscape.
Comrade Agu disclosed that as an ardent apostle of the Gov Uzodinma adminstration who, has been energized more by his outstanding achievements in less than three years, he will do everything legitimately within his powers to, ensure he wins reelection in 2023.
According to him, having made Owerri the state capital regain its lost glory, through massive construction of roads within the capital, as well as critical roads in its suburbs like the Naze/ Nekede/ Ihiagwa/ Obinze Road among many others, it will be in the best interest of the zone to massively vote Gov Uzodinma back to office, to enable him finish the good work he started.
