The Interim Management Committee, IMC Chairman of Owerri West LGA, Imo State, Hon. Okechukwu Enyioha has called on Christians to maximize the opportunity presented by 2022 Easter celebration to renew their love for Jesus Christ who they are celebrating his Death and Resurrection.
In a Release made available to newsmen in Owerri, he called on the people of Owerri West to take advantage of the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to promote peace, love one another and rededicate themselves to God.
The IMC Chairman in his Easter message, congratulated Christians for the successful forty-days Lenten season for the atonement of sins and salvation of mankind, which he said Death and Resurrection of Christ represent.
The Chairman who explained that Easter is the bedrock of Christianity, pointed out that the celebration of Christ’s resurrection and salvation offers Nigerians golden opportunity to draw near to their creator and shun all that will not bring peace, love, unity and progress in the LGA, state and country at large.
Hon. Enyioha promised to continuously operate an open door administration, ensure that everybody is given a sense of belonging.
While wishing the good people of Owerri West a successful and divinely rewarding Easter Celebration, he passionately appealed to them to pray for peace, security of lives and property in the LGA, State and Nigeria at large.
He therefore reassured the people of Owerri West of his decision to serve with honesty, fear of God and carry everybody along in the scheme of things.
