Power outage has disrupted plenary proceedings in Imo State House of Assembly forcing the House to adjourn to March 8.
The incident occurred when the house was deliberating on the motion moved by Honourable Member representing Aboh Mbaise Hon.Eddy Obinna urging the House to mandate the Commissioner for Mines and Solid minerals to, carry out thorough investigation on illegal collection of revenue by touts on behalf of the ministry.
The power outage which lasted for some minutes put proceedings on hold before restoration but immediately went off again, forcing the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh to adjourn plenary.
Meanwhile, the House has set up Seven man adhoc Committee led by the Majority Leader of the House Hon.Kanayo Onyemaechi, Member representing Owerri West to look into the motion moved by Hon Obinna.
