Umunne Di Na Mba social club of Nigeria, a human development organization, consisting of responsible men was officially inaugurated last Saturday at Owerri.
In his speech , the president of the club Hon Christopher Chukwuemeka affirmed that the club was founded for charitable services and human development .
He added that it is of made up of responsible people who want to share individual knowledge, as well as find ways to make society better.
He noted some of the contributions of the club within one year of existence included visiting of five orphanage homes and prisoners , street feeding among others.
The patron of the club, Chief Beneath Eze , charged them to continue living in spirit of oneness , and appreciated their efforts, adding that he is happy to identify with them.
Mr Ugochukwu Chimchetam , the sectary of the organization in an interview described the club as an organization that promotes unity and oneness.
Also, comrade Nwajoku Cherechi said that the club is all about peace, unity and progress.
Other members and well wishers that gave good testimony about the club included Ogoke Chidera , Samuel Nwachukwu , Joseph Kingsley and Okoronze Mmadubuchi .
The climax of the event was the official inauguration of the club as members pledged to be law abiding and to uphold the values which it stands for which are love , peace , progress and unity.
The event featured lecture delivered by Olebara Paschal on ” One Year After : what Lesson Did We Learn from The End SARS Protest ? “, and award presentation to outstanding personalities and members.
