The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Imo State Chapter has resolved to participate fully on the forth coming Local Government Council Election in the state.
The party took the decision during the expanded executive meeting at APGA Secretariat Owerri.
Speaking during the meeting the state chairman of the party,Hon John Iwuala said that according to the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) the election will be on 12th March 2022.
Hon Iwuala noted that the party will join hand with ISIEC to ensure that the commission conduct a credible election and stressed the need for the Local Government Party Chairmen to ensure that the future credible aspirants for the position of chairmen and councillors.
He disclosed that the party will soon release the timetable for primaries and assured them the determination of the party to conduct a free and fair primaries.
He expressed optimism that the party will win all the 27 local government including the councillorship positions.
He urged party members to embark on awareness programme to enable the party achieve its objective.Willie Obiano
