Former National President General of Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC), Engr. Bede Opara has commended Governor Hope Uzodinma on what he described as ” ongoing roads revolution’ in the state with many roads having high multiplier effects on the state’s economic wellbeing and in other areas of life of the people.
Speaking to our reporter on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Owerri, Engr Opara who is the immediate past Chairman of APC in Ahiazu LGA, observed that Governor Uzodinma had touched the lives of Imolites by embarking on massive roads construction in the state, describing the choice of the roads so far constructed as ” wise, well informed ” and of immense economic benefit to Imolites.
The APC chieftain and renowned technocrat described Chukwuma Nwoha road as previously ” over looked and abandoned ” by former administrations in the state, but now “courageously” rehabilitated by Governor Uzodinma, with solar street lights and pedestrian walkways.
Other roads he praised the governor for rehabilitating are the MCC- Uratta road now linked to Owerri mall( Shop rite), MCC- Egbu road, Naze-polynek road, Poly junction- Ogboshishi/ FRSC, Whetheral- Toronto road linking Chukwuma Nwoha road, Assumpta Cathedral- Port Harcourt road, Orji -Okigwe road, Owerri- Orlu road, linkages of roads within the Aladinma and Catol environs and others outside Owerri town.
Describing the various roundabouts under construction as designed to give the state a face-lift, Engr. Opara advised Imolites to be patient with the governor as he is doing every thing within his power to make the state attractive to investors which would lead to job creation in the state.
On security, he expressed his gratitude to God that calmness has returned to the state and called on Imolites to cooperate with the governor to move the state forward, urging the people to be prayerful and close ranks to ensure the success of the 3 R mantra of the present administration.
The astute leader expressed his confidence in the capacity of Governor Uzodinma to transform the state and called for patience, understanding and synergy in the state to make it the envy of others in development
