The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Political Matters, Dr. Batos Nwadike says the level of looting the governor met on ground on his inauguration in January 2020, was shocking and massive.
The S.A. Political who spoke during the inauguration of Prosperity Ambassadors at the Njaba Local Government headquarters Nnenasaa, hinted that about 40 beds were allegedly looted at the state-owned Imo State University Teaching Hospital, IMSUTH, Orlu before Uzodinma came on board.
Dr. Batos equally disclosed that hospital equipment including oxygen were also allegedly looted, adding that the Governor Uzodinma has in a very short period, he has presided over the affairs of the state, replaced the alleged looted beds, oxygen equipment, among others.
He further disclosed that even computers in Imo Government House were allegedly looted, but revealed that Governor Uzodinma did not waste time to go to work by completely overhauling the looted government institutions.
Batos who said Uzodinma has repositioned IMSUTH, expressed optimism that with what Governor Uzodinma has done there so far, the institution would hopefully graduate medical doctors after many years.
He said the governor also built three kilometer access road to the institution, turned Imo Government House around and has remained resolute in his decision to recover stolen property of the state in line with his 3R Agenda of Recovery, Reconstruction Rehabilitation.
