Clan Chief Tonyblack Nduka, former Mayor of Okigwe Zone has donated a befitting office to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Obollo Ward in Isiala Mbano Council Area of Imo State.
Announcing this in a meeting of the party’s LGA Executive led by Hon. U. C. Iwuagwu with stakeholders and members of the party in Obollo ward held at his country home, on Sunday, Tonyblack who is also a two time former Isiala Mbano LGA boss said the gesture was to aide the general activities of the party in the ward.
He further expressed his love with the ongoing reforms and policy implementation of the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in the state, especially the construction of roads, which according to him has brought succor to the road users and boast economic lives of the people.
Chief TonyBlack commended Hon. Chika Okoroike, IMC Chairman of Isiala Mbano LGA and Hon. U. C Iwuagwu, for their commitment towards the overall growth and success of the party in the LGA as well as the APC led government in the state.
The former Special Adviser to the state government on special duties equally thanked the Isiala Mbano APC Chairman for believing in him, while striving to restore unity and peace in the party in the ward.
He finally pledged the total support and loyalty of the people of Obollo Ward to the party leadership in the LGA and to the shared prosperity Agenda of Governor Uzodimma’s administration in the state.
Addressing the party members, Hon. Iwuagwu, accompanied by some APC stalwarts of Isiala Mbano LGA and Okigwe Zone including Hon. Chris Nkiti (former Deputy Chairman of Isiala Mbano LGA), High Chief Max Amadi, Chief Onyekachi Ononiwu and Hon. Chief Chiadi Iwuagwu, applauded Tonyblack for his leadership ingenuity and immense support to the party.
He also appreciated the large turn out of the APC stakeholders and members in Obollo Ward who gathered within the shortest notice of the meeting, saying that it is a sign of commitment and a good step to start the unity journey in Obollo Ward.
He revealed that the visit was necessitated by the need to harmonize and foster unity of purpose in Obollo Ward APC; to enlighten and sensitize the people on the way forward for the party in the ward as well as solicit their unalloyed support and commitment to the party.
Hon. Iwuagwu reminded the party members the importance of the ongoing APC registration/revalidation exercise and the need for every eligible person in the ward to register or revalidate his/her membership, adding that it would help to ensure effective distribution of dividends of democracy through the 3R Mantra of the Shared Prosperity Government.
Iwuagwu who urged the APC Obollo Ward to continue to harvest prominent personalities into the ruling All Progressives Congress, also appealed to them to rally round the present administration in the state under the performing Governor Hope Uzodimma who according to him has displayed uncommon leadership qualities and administrative acumen in addressing myriad of problems confronting the state.
In his words, “It gladdens my heart to see this impressive turnout of APC faithfuls and this array of who is who in this all important meeting. I congratulate all of us for this show of solidarity.
“It is natural that we let go malice and resentments, so that there will be room for a new friendship and fertilization of new ideas. Therefore, I advise all of us to jettison sycophancy and blackmails for peace, harmony and success of our party.
“I know Clan Chief TonyBlack as a leader par excellence who is extraordinarily gifted, unimaginably intelligent and naturally endowed with political prowess. And I know that with personality like him, our party will continue to grow stronger and record enviable successes.”
In a vote of thanks, Hon. Julie Nwigwe (Obollo Coordinator, Okigwe People’s Political Movement OPPM) and Mr Benjamin Chineke, the immediate past Secretary of APC Obollo Ward expressed gratitude to the Isiala Mbano APC Chairman and his team for the meeting.
They opined that the Chairman will do greater exploits for discovering the lion-like strength of Clan Chief TonyBlack in the political hemisphere, whom they described as a man of purpose and sincerity ready to paddle the party to an amiable height.
