The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu(Samdady) Secretary of the South West Zonal congress committee.
The committee also has Governor of Benue State, Emmanuel Ortom as Chairman, while Senators Sandy Onor, Ogun Ofome Anthony, and Ireruke Edward Otemabore serve as members.
The South West zonal Congress billed for Monday, April 12, at the Women and Children Development Initiative Foundation Events Center, Osogbo City, Osun State is expected to produce formidable executive that would pilot the affairs of the party in the zone.
Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, Secretary of the Committee, Senator Anyanwu assured of their readiness to conduct free, fair and credible election that would usher in competent leaders desirous of taking PDP to an enviable height.
According to him, those that would emerge in the exercise would be committed Party fateful who keyed into the vision of PDP.
He added that the committee would never compromise competence on the altar of friendship.
