The Special Adviser on Political Matters to Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, Dr Batos Nwadike has charged the people of Ideato North to remain steadfast with the present Shared Prosperity administration in the state.
The SA Political who spoke during the sensitization tour in the LGA, assured that the Governor Uzodinma would continue to prioritize issues affecting the area especially, in fixing their bad roads, appointments and empowerment.
Dr Batos accompanied by senior officials in the Uzodinma cabinet including the SA Pensions, Group Captain Pat Okibedi, SSA Beautification, Hon Mrs Izuchi Duru, Chief Ngozi Duru (Ijele), Hon. Ijeoma Asoka, Barr. Leon Mbakwe among others, hinted that Governor Uzodinma has accomplished giant strides in just one year in the saddle with over 47 road projects completed and ongoing in Imo.
He went on to assure Imo people that the Shared Prosperity government of Sen. Uzodinma was building roads with atleast 25 years lifespan.
According to him,”the 34 kilometers Owerri-Orlu Road currently being handled by a world class construction giant, would make life easier for Ideato people, Orlu Zone and entire Imo, even South East.
He revealed that Uzodinma has restored life in the state-owned Imo State University Teaching Hospital, IMSUTH, with three kilometres access road constructed there, and replaced all alleged looted equipment in the institution by the past government.
He noted that the Governor is determined to recover everything allegedly stolen by past administration and that no amount of intimidation would deter him.
Dr. Batos who delivered Governor Uzodinma’s thank-you message to the people of Ideato, urged them to remain strong with the Governor and APC as he noted that the Governor has honoured Ideato nation by naming a university he recovered in the area after late nationalist, Chief K.O Mbadiwe and appointed many of their sons into his cabinet.
Leaders from the area including the Commissioner for Tourism, Barr Uche Ohia, SA Mining, Chief Kingsley Ufere, SA Industries, Hon Philip Okonkwo, Ideato IMC chairman, Mrs Gloria Mbadiwe, SSA Renovation of Schools, Mrs Kate Osigwe, councillors from the LGA, the Cordinator of Camp Hope, Francis Okoye, among others pledged the unalloyed support of Ideato North to the Uzodinma’s Shared Prosperity government, insisting that the governor means well for the State.
Meanwhile, the SSA Beautification, Mrs Duru urged the women of Ideato North not to seat behind but to rise up in order to take their rightful place in government.
She described herself as an example of Governor Uzodinma’s empowerment and magnanimity.
Highpoint of the event was the inauguration of the Shared Prosperity Ambassadors for Ideato North by the SAd on Political Matter, Dr. Nwadike.
The SA therefore charged them to be the eye of the governor in the area and work closely with the IMC chairman.
