An APC Chieftain and Elder Statesman in Mbaitoli has drummed support for the Governor, the distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma in his quest to positively change the narrative of governance in Imo State.
Chief Agogbuo said since assumption of office the Governor not only brought back prudent management of scarce resources in the state but has also restored confidence in Governance.
Answering questions from journalists during the meeting of leaders of Owerri Zone at the Sam Mbakwe Hall Concord Hotel Owerri, the Elder Statesman disclosed that the meeting was organized to enable the leaders rob mind, reconcile themselves on the way forward for the APC party in the zone as well as to galvanize plans on how to give the Governor 100% undiluted support so that at the end of his tenure, he will also support the zone in its desire to produce the next Governor in the state.
Chief Agogbuo who described Owerri Zone as a beautiful bride and a pivot upon which the state rotates, pointed out that though Owerri Zone has 9 Local Government Areas, 3 less than Orlu Zone but has more numerical strength than other Zones in the state.
On the Governor’s one year in office, the Orodo born ARC Chieftain in Mbaitoli and a retired Director of Culture in the Ministry of Information and Culture said the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma has performed creditably well.
He expressed optimism that within two years in office, he will record more achievements than other Governors before him.
On whether the Governor can run for the presidency come 2023, Chief Agogbuo said though the Governor has not declared his intention to run but added that if given the opportunity, will perform wonders.
According to the Elder Statesman the Governor’s concern now is how to consolidate his 3R mantra of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery agenda.
