An unidentified motorcyclist was on Friday crushed to death in a fatal accident that occurred at Umuazu Nteje in Anambra State.
The Public Education Officer for Anambra State Sector of FRSC, Edor Florence N.(SRC) revealed this development in a press statement.
She said that the multiple accident happened between Udoka Nwoya the driver of Mercedes Benz Tipper with registration number XA 156 EFR and unidentified motorcycle rider without registration number at about 11.10am.
The FRSC Public Education Officer identified excessive speeding as the cause of the traffic crash that involved two male adults.
The motorcycle rider according to her was taken to Chira hospital Awkuzu, by FRSC rescue team from Nteje unit Command where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty and his body deposited at Wisdom Mortuary Nteje.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Sector Commander of FRSC, Andrew A Kumapayi(CC) has again warned motorists to avoid speeding especially in built up areas.
Kumapayi who advised motorists to use maximum speed limit of 50km/hr when in built up areas also warned bike riders to always put on their safety helmet while riding their bikes to avoid head injury during traffic crash.
