Okorocha taunts Ihedioha: Stop your excuses, fix Imo roads…Boasts: I left N5.2bn Pensions fund …PDP to Rochas: Shut up, you delivered China Roads

The immediate past Imo governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha has chided Governor Emeka Ihedioha over the poor state of roads in the state admonishing his successor to stop apportioning blame and use his exalted office to work for Imo people by fixing the bad roads.
The former governor now a serving senator also challenged governor Ihedioha to come clean on the reported N5,200,000 he (Okorocha) claimed to have left behind for the present Ihedioha government to pay arrears of pensions owed to Imo pensioners.
Speaking through a press release issued yesterday, the immediate past Imo governor said he was forced to respond to several media attacks by the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, blaming Okorocha for his inability to fix Imo roads saying that Imolites know quite well that the last administration built more roads than any other government.
Okorocha reminded Governor Ihedioha that Enwerem as governor then never blamed Mbakwe who was governor before him just as Achike Udenwa did not blame Enwerem, nor Ikedi Ohakim blame Udenwa when he was governor.
He also alleged that Ihedioha from all indications does not know how to start or where to start in terms of governance, even as he chides that the governor prefers nagging to giving Imo people the quality governance they expect from him.
The former governor accused the incumbent Governor of failing to fulfill his campaign promises including a recent promise to pay two months arrears to pensioners, while querying what he did with the N5.2billion allegedly left by his administration in the Access Bank.
Okorocha reminded Ihedioha that Imolites were gradually getting fade up with what he described as the governor’s constant excuses, challenging him to allow action speak for him.
Reacting to the taunting on road reconstruction a PDP stalwart who spoke on condition of anonymity attacked Rochas and asked to shut up and hide his face in shame for leaving substandard roads as ‘legacy’ to his successor and the people.
