In keeping with his rebuild Imo agenda, a total of 120 new classroom blocks has been enlisted for construction while 140 dilapidate schools will receive facelift in a couple of weeks from now.
Also 45 new boreholes will be drilled in schools where the need for water is higher. These and more are parts of the projects lined up for the 100 days in office of His Excellency, Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
Briefing Newsmen about these forthcoming projects of the state government in his office, weekend, the state chairman, Imo State Universal Basic Education Board IMSUBEB, Prof. Obioma Iheduru said the projects will cut across the 305 wards in the state and a total of N3.9 billion has been budgeted for the project.
According to him, project is part of the 2016/2017 UBEC marching grants from the state. He said aside the projects, government is also training teachers in the 27 LGAs of the state for efficient productivity.
The IMSUBEB boss also noted that quality assurance team from his office will be on ground to ensure that all the projects are done with specification to meet the required standard.
