As the political campaign curtain for the 2019 general elections is about to be drawn, a notable personality in the council of traditional rulers, His Royal Highness Eze Cletus Ilomuanya has endorsed the aspiration of Senator Osita Izunaso as senator to represent Orlu zone at the senate chamber of the federal republic of Nigeria under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.
Addressing the Izunaso campaign group who accompanied the former senator on a courtesy call on Saturday at his palace in Obinugwu Orlu, Imo State Eze Ilomuanya expressed delight over their visit which he saw as a show of respect and recognition of his position as number one citizen of the land, while praying that policitan should accept their fate after elections and to fight among themselves but rather congratulate one another.
He also charged that the entire people of Orlu to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) handy as it is their voting power adding that this year’s general elections will bring peace to the land as the royal fathers of Orlu would continue to pray for the success of the election.
Earlier in his speech, the senate hopeful disclosed that the reason for the courtesy call was to receive blessings from the royal father on his political ambition as the Waziri of the palace adding that his move from the All Progressive Congress APC to APGA was well accepted by the people of the zone and, wished the Obi of Obinugwu long life and good health for a prosperous reign.
In his vote of thanks, Chief Elvis Agukwe popularly called Ide political who is vying for the Federal House seat to represent Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal constitutency under APGA, appreciated the king of Obinugwu for his warm reception, blessings and support asserting that no project such as the one that brought the former senator to his palace can be successfully carried out without blessings of a respectable royal father like him.
He described Senator Izunaso as a seasoned, talented and visionary man who is best qualified to bring good for tunes to Orlu people.
