The candidate of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), Chief Bobby Tochukwu Ukadike has categorically, declared that no person or candidate of any other political party could defeat him in the February 16, 2019 race for the Orlu senatorial zone seat.
Chief Ukadike who bears the titles of Apitti Ndigbo and Dankano of Nigeria told newsmen that he decided to settle for the Orlu senatorial zone seat under the platform of FJP in line with the present day Imo State political realities.
Chief Bobby Ukadike explained that unlike some other candidates who according to him, are either in the race for the fun of it or for purely, selfish reasons, he, the Apitti Ndigbo joined the race to win the Orlu senatorial seat and not to lose to any person born of a woman. The Dankano of Nigeria who was a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) disclosed during the encounter with newsmen in Owerri, Imo State Capital that he voluntarily withdrew from Imo State Governorship race to enable Owerri or Okigwe zone have the opportunity of producing the next governor of the State in 2019.
According to him, Justice and equity demand that the governorship seat should rotate among the three senatorial zones of the State in the interest of harmonious co-existence and brotherly love.
The FJP senatorial candidate who hails from Abba Community of Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State posited that having resolved to abort his presidential ambition under the POP as well as governorship bid under the Freedom and Justice Party in preference for the Senatorial seat, he is fully equipped to weather the storm and win the Senatorial seat convincingly.
“My resolve to now run for the Orlu senatorial seat after due, wide and extensive consultations, is a wise political calculation. I have all it takes to win the Imo State governorship seat but I felt, we should always do unto others what we want them do unto us. This is why on grounds of patriotism, I decided to be fair to Owerri and Okigwe zones by settling for the senatorial race which of course, nobody can stop me from winning,” the Apitti Ndigbo stated.
Explaining further, Chief Bobby Ukadike pointed out that he presently has the support of over 85% of the electorate in the 12 local government areas of Orlu zone. “If you conduct opinion poll right now, you will find out that the women, elders, youths and churches across Orlu zone are clamouring to have me their beloved son and the very oracle of Orlu Gburugburu political assembly represent them at the red chamber of the-national Assembly, that is, the Senate. And for sure, to the glory of God, I am, the next Senator for Orlu zone and I promise, to make Imo State and Ndigbo in general, proud at the National Assembly,” he concluded.
