Ahead of the forthcoming general election, the All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA, leaders in Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo state has set to embark on ward to ward tour to educate electorates on the need to vote Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume for Governor and other candidates of the party into different elective positions.
This was disclosed when the leaders met on Monday 4th February,2019 in Amararaku where the contact and mobilization committee was charged with the responsibility to ensure a successful outing. The leaders were drawn from the 12 wards in Isiala Mbano.
It was learnt that the ward sensitization will commence with a road show from Ugiri clan on Tuesday 5th of February to herald the victory of APGA in the area.
The chief host of the committee from Mbama, Chief Aloysius Odubam (Mr. C) noted that it has become imperative to embark on sensitization visit with a view to ensuring that APGA wins in all the polling units.
Another leader of the committee from Ugiri, the former chairman Isiala Mbano APC who recently defected to APGA Hon. Julius Asagwara pointed out that been invited for the meeting has automatically distinguished one as a leader to reckon with as he charged them to be more proactive to discharge any given task in order to achieve the goal of delivering Isiala Mbano for the party.
Special guest of honour to the occasion was the wife of the APGA governorship candidate in Imo State Lady Barr. Gladys Araraume who encouraged the leaders for their efforts, thanking them for showing commitment to the process.
Lady Araraume further commended the women for their active participation for the recovery of the state from the suffering occasioned by the present APC anti people’s administration as she assured them that their efforts would never be in vain.
In the same vein, Barr. Mike Ohaka reaffirmed their determination for a land slide victory during the poll.
In his remarks, the LGA APGA Chairman Chief Austin Amucha expressed gratitude for honouring the invitation despite the short notice. Chief Amucha also noted that with unity of purpose, the party would deliver all its candidates in Isiala Mbano.
Leaders who attended the meeting were Okenze Akwaiwu (Mbuli), Engr. Vincent Ike, Dr. John Duru, Chief Martin Emereonye, Sir Nick Okorie ,Sir J.E Ojiaku,Julius Okoro,Ben Iwuji,Chief Theo Duru,Lady MC Ihekire,Hon.Francis Njoku, Anogwi Francis.
Others included Hon Florence Ohalete,Hon.Osuji Fidelis,Mr Dan Alaneme,Sir Osuji B.I among others just to mention but a few.
