The National Democratic Mandate Group formed in 20150s an independent political structure. NDMG has collapsed its structure in Imo State into the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP for the election of Barrister Humphrey Anumudu of ZLP as governor and other candidates of the party in the 2019 elections.
At a mini rally at the Mbieri home of Barrister Anumudu attended by the 21 officers from each of the 305 wards, 21 officers from each of the 27 L.G.As and 36 State officers the Director General of NDMG Hon. Isaac Udeh said it took NDMG time to choose a candidate for their support. He said the group does not harlot from one candidate to another, adding that any candidate the group supports must agree with the group on modalities. He said NDMG chose Anumudu for his integrity and philanthropy.
The state chairman of Zenith Labour Party Mr. Paschal Chinedu said that many candidates approached ZLP for governorship and failed but the party went for Anumudu because of his character which is impeccable. And succeeded in convincing him to run under the party ZLP.
He said that with the backing of the NDMG the victory of ZLP has been consolidated. He assured the NDMG that the manifesto of ZLP cum Anumudu is the peoples manifesto and must accommodate NDMG.
Speaking at the occasion, the deputy governorship candidate of ZLP, Rt. Hon. Okay Dike described the National Democratic Mandate group, NDMG as a serious group and expressed optimism that with the alliance, Zenith Labour Party’s victory is assured. He affirmed that Anumudu’s Character has been the force of magnetism which pulls people to ZLP.
Addressing the August gathering in his large compound, the flag bearer of Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Barrister Humphrey Anumudu welcomed the group and said that with the marriage between ZLP and National Democratic Mandate Group, he has undertaken to be the sponsor of the group. He promised to give the grp whatever it needed to keep the alliance.
Barrister Anumuidu urged the group to work harder in campaigning for the success of Zenith Labour Party and expressed his belief that NDMG has come to make victory easy for ZLP.
Highlights of the occasion was adoption song for Anumudu and victory dance by the crowd.
In his vote of thanks, the member representing Ohaji Egbema Constituency in the House of Assembly come 2019 Barr. Greg Anyanwu on behalf of the rest of the candidates of ZLP expressed delight that thousands of them gathered in honour of one man, Barr. Humphrey Anumudu to whom honour is due.
He promised that Barr. Amunudu has come to liberate Imolites who are oppressed.
