As Christians world over celebrate Christmas to mark the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Imo State chapter, Apostle General Dr. Iheanyichi Ibeji has called on Christians in Imo and Nigeria to follow the way and his principles if they must receive pardon for their wrong ways.
Apostle General Ibeji who made this call in a chat with newsmen in Owerri also added that Christians must forgive one another and follow the legacies of Jesus who is the reason for the season as anything short of the above makes the celebration meaningless.
Nigerians, he pointed out should do away with acts contrary to the teachings of Christ, they must propagate the rules and laws of Jesus to be sure to make the kingdom of God and make Nigeria better.
The number one Christian in Imo State reminded Christians dieu for all mankind to be saved if not there is no hope for man’s salvation as he added men would have been most miserable.
Speaking on the 2019 general election, the CAN Chairman said Nigeria through in a tough time due to hard economy and all driving into election there is need for Christian Leaders to counsel their folks to ensure high moral standards for Christians.
He condemned vote buying as he observed that politicians have stocked pilled money waiting to use such to buy their way to victory in the forthcoming 2019 general election insisting that qualities of good leader is to encourage peace and for the electorates to vote according to their conscience.
He further cautioned against electoral violence, using the youth in a negative way and urged all electorates especially these in Imo State to support and insist on a credible, fair and peaceful election to mark Imo in particular and Nigeria in general to be better.
