The people of Ohaji Egbema, Owerri municipal Council and Ikeduru local government area has expressed satisfaction over the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodinma as the All progressive Congress governorship candidates in a fiace battle with the governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha whose game plan to Impose his son in law Ugwumba Uche Nwosu failed woefully and accepted to subsumed all the previous APC Pressure groups to Grass Root Movement as the most acceptable and formidable organization to reach out, galvanized the grass roots to ensure victory for the senator.
In a separate reactions, the member for Ohaji Egbema in the Imo State House of Assembly and 2019 party candidate Hon Emmanuel Orie, former Chairman Owerri municipal council, Hon Macdonald Ebere who is also the IMHA Candidate, said Senator Hope Uzodinma needed no introduction to the people who they said has remained a good leader and non discriminatory person one who have used both his personal resources and talents for the interest of the masses.
They reassured the members and the state executives of the group of their determination to actualize victory for the Senator through support and door to door campaign strategy.
Contributing, a notable entertainment guru and leader Imo Best Artist, Mr Obinna Okoro popularly known as Achara Man, in his words extolled the members of the group mostly the state executives for their contributions to sensitize the imo public. He reassured his decisions to use both his talent and exposure to canvas support for the Senator a man he described as God Sent to redeem the people and explained that Imo State Entertainment industry actually need to be delivered.
In his separate speeches, the state co ordinator, Hon. Ugo Silva Ebere, while inaugurating the LGAs and Ward Executives of the Association in Ohaji Egbema, Owerri Municipal and Ikeduru councils, last Wednesday, 12 December 2018, stated that, GRM has remained a non political party pressure group with it’s utmost interest to support and deliver the candidature of Senator Hope Uzodinma governorship ambition in 2019.
The Nkwerri Community born, state coordinator, Ebere, pointed out that, GRM is a political movement that cuts across both political parties and religious lines and resolved his firm belief that a good leadership will be enthroned by Senator Uzodinma as a governorin 2019, he described him as a trustworthy, non materialistic politician and a humble servant, who wrestle power and won laurels to liberate the state from the shackles of Okorocha’s impositions and familiocracy.
He extolled the people of Ohaji Egbema, Owerri Municipal and Ikeduru for their support and promised that the next government under the Senator will be people oriented one and urged them to register with the group in order to get all the necessary entitlement attached to the Organization.
While he encouraged the newly inaugurated ward and local government coordinators not to relent in their individual effort to get more people to be part of the group “because with Senator Uzodinma as the next governor in the state in 2019, people in the grassroots would be the greatest beneficiaries of the government.” What we have here today is not like what we used to have. This is to show that Imo people have fade away establishment of the group as a political movement which is out to proof to the world that the grassroots
In his word, the state organizing secretary of the group, Hon. Emenike hail the members from Ohaji Egbema, Owerri Municipal and Ikeduru LGAs for their enthusiasm and support and reassured them that Senator Uzodinma will deliver the needed dividends of democracy to the people. He urged them to be card carry members of GRM in order to benefit from the reboust largesse.
Other speakers in the event include, Chief Abiodun Ozuzu, Lolo Kechi Fide Nwaogu, George Duru, Mrs Chinyere Nwansi from Akabor Ward Ikeduru and many others from the three councils, Or described the action of the group as a timely one and advice on the need to sanitize the grass roots for the upcoming election while expressing extremely zeal that the promises made by the group will be realized.

Responding, the Ohaji Egbema, Owerri municipal, and Ikeduru co ordinators, Comrade, Columbus Ifurueze, Hon Frank Nzewuodo and ikeduru co ordinator thanked the state leadership for been proactive in their responsibility to ensure that the ambition is realized and assured that they will not relent in their capacities to mobilize for the victory for the All Progressive Congress Governorship Candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
