The twenty seven LGA Chairmen of the Social Democratic Party,SDP in Imo State have passed a vote of implicit confidence on the party’s governorship candidate, Dr Casmir Anyanwu.
The chairmen who made their feelings known in a communique issued in Owerri pointed out that they are standing solidly behind him and his deputy,Mr Hogan Achigbu because of the duo’s outstanding track record public service and faithfulness to the party structure in the state.
Noting that the party’s guber candidate has electoral value and can deliver as attested to by his wife,Hot FM CEO,Sen Chris Anyanwu’s two term stint in the Senate of Nigeria.
The party chairmen urged the national leadership of the party to respect the wishes of Imo SDP members going by the party’s principles of justice, equity and fairness.
According to them they are clamouring for him because he has all that is needed to win the governorship election in the state next in view of massive appeal and goodwill in the state.
