Guber: Imo professionals drum support for Samdaddy…Urges PDP delegates to make history

The governorship aspiration of Senator Samuel Anyanwu has again received boost as a non political group promoting good governance in the State, Imo Professionals has said that the general acceptance of Sen. Anyanwu by citizens across the State would ensure his victory in
2019 if he gets the PDP nomination.
Dr Emma Anoshiri, the President -General of the group, said this at a news conference on Tuesday in Owerri.
Anoshiri said that Sen. Samuel Anyanwu’s landmark achievements in politics especially in the areas of youth and women empowerment, sponsorship of people oriented bills and motions and the quality of projects he has attracted added to his human relationship potentials have endeared him to the hearts of the generality of Imolites.
He said Sen. Anyanwu had given the youth unprecedented sense of belonging and empowerment under his empowerement programs where over 450 youths and women of Owerri Zone have been meaningfully trained in different skills that include fashion designing, Catering, Solar Panel
Technology, Aluminum doors and windows fabrication, Cosmetology, etc.
“Sen. Anyanwu has succeeded in just three years to set Owerri Zone and indeed Imo State in a higher pedestrian in the national polity with the quality of bills and motions to his name”.
“We in Imo Professionals, have watched with admiration and pride the quality of bills this young man has sponsored in the Senate. “Every Imolite should be proud of the South East Development Commission bill and the bill to upgrade Alvan Ikoku College of Education to a University of Education, among others” he said.
Anoshiri said these bills when signed into law will transform the South East and Imo State in particular, and noted that these are some of the reasons his group has decided to endorse Sen. Samuel Anyanwu for the 2019 election.
The Bayero University Kano (BUK) trained medical doctor, who hails from Okpofe in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, noted that Sen. Anyanwu’s tenure in the Senate had elevated the place of Owerri Zone in the Nigerian politics, and expressed hope that he will replicate same when he becomes the next governor of the State.
The President- General called on PDP delegates that will be voting in the forthcoming gubernatorial primaries to look beyond personal or other interests and vote for Sen. Anyanwu who has proved over time to have the capacity to live up to expectations.
Anoshiri said the high expectations of the people of the State can only come to materialize if the delegates do the needful and elected Sen. Anyanwu in the primaries, as the party will not lack support in the build up to the general elections if they have the right candidates.
