Owerri zone prefers ex-Imo SSG, Ejiogu as APC guber aspirant

Cross section of well meaning individuals from Owerri Zone have unanimously selected former Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu as the only All Progressive Congress Governorship candidate they would vote in the forthcoming primary.
The endorsement came at the heels of uncontrollable outcry by Imo people for a better Imo in 2019.
Speaking on behalf of others from across the nine council areas in the zone, former Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. Ugochukwu Okere maintained that the endorsement was to reduce pressure on whom to vote as well as to re-direct the mindset of their people towards voting for a credible person who is determined to raise the living standard of Imo people at large.
He reiterated the resolve of Owerri people to rally round the erstwhile Chief of Staff to the state government in the forthcoming governorship primary, expressing optimism that the endorsement would go a long way to guaranteeing easy victory for Sir Ejiogu in the exercise.
Hon Okere therefore disclosed that the selection of Sir Ejiogu as their preferred candidate for 2019 governorship election followed records of his past achievements as a public office holder in the state, advising well meaning members of APC in the state not to make further mistake they would stand to regret in the next four years.
According to him, “money is good but not in everything, the current situation of Imo people as it concerns 2019 election does not require money but any well meaning Imolite must be conscious of the future of the state and her people in the next four years, this is the time for all hands to be on deck towards electing qualified candidate for our party in view of 2019 poll. If we allow this opportunity to sleep off our palms, the economic fortunes of the state would continue to whittle down irretrievably” He submitted.
The Ngor Okpala born political strategist further called on Imo people not to allow desperate politicians to steal their conscience with money or rhetorics, rather than working assiduously to create better future for their children.
