The fight against the imposition of Uche Nwsu as the next governor of Imo state come 2019 has reached its crescendo following the boycott of the 2019 Imo women August meeting held at Dan Anyim stadium last Tuesday.
According to our reporter, the Dan Anyim stadium was scarcely filled as only hired women from the streets attended the occasion, as Imo women held their August meeting in their respective local government areas.
In Orsu and Orlu local government areas of the state, the women chanted in praise of Prince Eze Madumere, as they pledged their support to his ambition which is geared towards liberating Imo people from the shackles of poverty, injustice and hunger.
Chief Best Mbanaso former Special Adviser to the governor on market development who represented Prince Eze Maduere at the occasion called on Imolites to rise up against injustice.
Mbanaso who is of Orlu zone extraction said his resolve to join the fight against imposition of Uche Nwosu is borne out of his desire to restore equity and justice in the state.
According to him, Orlu has ruled the state for 16 years ,Okigwe Zone for eight years while Owerri Zone has handled the position for only one year, pointing out that equity and justice demand that Owerri Zone should produce b the next governor come 2019 .
He described Madumere as an administrative tsar, humane, pointing out that Madumere is the best bet for Imo.
Mbanaso stated that Rochas has done his best as governor, emphasizing that Imo needs a change.
He promised to ensure that Orlu and Orsu get the best place in Madumere’s administration come 2019.
Earlier in his submission, the leader o Orsu women simply identified as Iron Lady reassured Madumere of their support, adding that with Madumere Imo is secured.
