Barrister Henry Njoku, a Senatorial aspirant for Imo east senatorial district under the aegis of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, condemns in strong terms the recent invasion of the national assembly, by men of the directorate of state services.
Mr. Njoku described the act as a brazen rape of our democracy and gross violation of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
He expressed fear that if such act was not arrested, it could result in anarchy and a collapse of the democracy, which Nigerians seriously laboured to bring back.
According to him, what DSS did was an abuse of power, demonstration of arrogance and impunity, as well as a slap, not just on the National Assembly, but also on all Nigerians. He called on all men of goodwill to rise up and condemn the act.
He however commended the acting president, prof. Yemi osinbajo in his prompt reaction by sacking the Dg Dss, Lawal Daura.
