A foremost governorship aspirant under All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mr. Frank Nneji OON has decried the rising level of unemployment among teeming youths in Imo state, restating his resolve to create enough jobs in his first two years in office as the governor of the state.
Speaking at Isu APGA Youths Summit held Saturday, Mr. Frank Nneji ,ably represented by the Administrative Secretary of Rebuild Imo Initiative otherwise known as Frank Nneji Campaign Organisation, Mr. Brent Akomas, noted with dismay the alarming number of unemployed youths in the state which he said the state government under Rochas Okorocha has failed to address adding that if nothing is done in two years period the situation would worsen.
Nneji the Managing Director of ABC Transport a company that has provided over 3000 jobs to youths assured the youths that his government will prioritise job creation to drastically reduce the high level of unemployment among youths in the state.
The Chief executive Officer of RAPIDO Foods the producers of Fibi Sausage Roll that parades over 400 staff said he will replicate the experiences he garnered over the years in creating jobs en masse for the youths as soon as he is elected the governor. He urged the youths of the state to rally support for him to be governor so that he can implement the good programs for the youth.
He said aside creation of jobs, he would deliver a quality free education, and free interest loans to youths who would like to do business.
“We will not renegade in putting those things that will make our youths realise their full potentials. We reproduce that atmosphere that made me to succeed as young entrepreneur in 1980s and 1990s so that our youths can engage in business without fear. Imo youths are gifted and can compete favourably if the enabling environment is put in place. We will do it again this time in large quantity if we are supported”.
He however commended.the youths for engaging in such Summit which he described as pacesetting and enjoined youths in other local government areas to emulate Isu APGA Youths.
