There is a man in Imo State who is worthy of introduction to all progressive Imolites, and all those whose desire is to be part of positive change in Imo State. Chief Barrister Aloysius Osondu Osuji is a progressive Imolite from Dim-Na-Nume, Isu, in Nwangele LGA of Imo State.
This illustrious Son of Imo State had his elementary education at Central School Dim Na Nume, Isu, in Nwangele LGA and from there he proceeded to St James Orthodox Catholic Seminary School, Etche in Rivers State, where he studied for two years and was later transferred to St Dominic’s Secondary school, Ugiri-Mbano in Imo State, where he completed his secondary education.
After his Secondary education, he went to Lagos, sat for, and passed the Union Bank PLC entrance examination. He was subsequently employed by the Bank where he worked and rose to management position before taking study leave without pay to Italy to further his education. Meanwhile, while he worked in the Bank, he was a strong Unionist and held many positions before becoming the Chairman of Local 23 NUBIFIE.
On his arrival in Italy, as a firm believer in gainful employment, he took up a job in Centro Tornitura Veneto factory situated in Reschiliagno in Pandora, Italy, where he trained to manufacture car components. He also used the opportunity of study leave in Italy to study Journalism.
He is one of the founders of NUNCI (National Union of Nigerian Citizens in Italy) and was the General Secretary of the group before his relocation to England to continue with his studies. He left Italy on the advice from the Nigerian Embassy in Rome that if he wanted to study Law, the best place to go will be to any of the Commonwealth countries.
Upon receiving this advice, he applied for admission to Wolverhampton University to study law and his application was granted. He therefore, responsibly resigned from his factory job in Italy to proceed to England to study Law, a course after his heart.
He graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with LLB (Hons) and proceeded to do his Post Graduate Diploma in Law. Afterwards, he did his (Training Contract) and was admitted to the Roll of Senior Courts of England and Wales as a Solicitor in 2004.
Chief Barrister Aloysius Osondu Osuji did not only excel in his academics, he has also excelled in the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.
