Amid the vociferous opposition to his succession agenda of his son in law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu succeeding him, Imo State Gov,Rochas Anayo Okorocha insists that he must have his way to protect his legacy.
The governor who reiterated his position on this contentious decision recently while briefing journalists as part of activities marking this year’s Democracy day celebration posited that despite opposition to the agenda, he is still keeping hope alive in the project.
The state chief executive who was responding to a question thrown to him on the tortuous issue reiterated his long held position against zoning, adding that the practice encourages mediocrity and non- performance.
Gov Okorocha who took a swipe on members of the allied coalition over what he said is their destabilizing antics, stressed that the opposition would not deter him from pursuing his succession plan, even as he remains in the ruling APC,where he has lost the grip .
Continuing,he lamented that he is now the bullied and has as well become the opposition in APC ,instead of being the bully and the man in power .He added, however that he is still in charge of APC in Imo state.
