The African Democratic Congress ADC in Mbaitoti Local Government Area of Imo State, held a public enlightenment and sensitization rally in the area, on Saturday May, 26 2018 r with a call on party faithful and Mbaitoli electorate to support the ADC ahead of the awaited 2019 general election in the state.
Earlier in his address at Nkwo Orodo, Chairman of tl party in Mbaitoli LGA, Chief Chris Opara said that the essence was to intimate the ward executives and party supporters on the benevolent activities and programmes of the ADC in Nigeria, under the leadership of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former president.
Also appealing to ADC faithful and the Imo electorate to obtain and secure their permanent voters’ cards, PVC to qualify them in exercising their franchise in the 2019 election in the state, Opara disclosed preparedness of the party to participate fully in the awaited local government council elections scheduled to hold on June, 2018 in Imo State, as he formally declared to contest for Mbaitoli Local Government Council Area Chairmanship on the platform of the ADC. Opara, who doubles as the apex leader of the party in Owerri zone, however, promised to create employment opportunities to the people, as well as attract visible infrastructural development elusive in the most populous LGA in the state, if elected as executive chairman of Mbaitoli LGA in the awaited election, even as he regretted the decay in basic infrastructure in the area.
